Hands up who doesn’t like chocolate. Yep, thought so, not a hand to be seen. Let’s try a different one – who doesn’t like truffles? Yep, same answer… and same as me.
When it comes to truffles, I simply can’t resist (and in my world there is no such thing as just one truffle).
My all-time favourite indulgence has to be plantain chocolate truffles.
What’s in a plantain chocolate truffle? …Dried fruit, nuts and plantain of course, rolled in sesame seeds or coconut and drizzled with melting dark chocolate, all topped with a bright red goji berry or sliver of coconut. Served chilled they add a little something to the end of a meal.
Every mouthful a moreish morsel! Bye-bye wafer mints.
Let’s do plantain chocolate truffles this Christmas!
I love them so much, and I think you will too, so I’ve put a recipe in both A Plate in the Sun and A Date with Plantain.
Ready for a good drizzle of chocolate
